  • New Yarns for Autumn

We’ve got stacks of new bases including non-super wash options. Our 100% Australian grown and processed Merino.   Certified by The Australian Fibre Collective, its non- superwash yarn, spun in a lofty DK/ semi worsted weight.  We’ve dyed it in our favourite colours for colourwork jumpers and vests for Autumn and Winter.  What is particularly special about this yarn is that it’s never left the country, it’s been grown, scoured and spun right here in Australia, we’ve dyed it using Aussie dyes. Yarn doesn’t get much more ridgy-didge than this! We love a great blend of protein and cellulose fibres and this one is a beauty.  50% Baby Alpaca 25% Linen and 25% Silk,  ultra soft and drapey yarn with a cool hand-feel.  Beautiful in shawls, cami’s and tops!   The silk component makes the colour vibrant with a beautiful sheen.  Available in Fingering and DK weight. Finally we’ve got a 5ply/ sport weight yarn!  It’s one of the softest yarns you’ll find.  Consisting of 65% Superfine Baby Alpaca and 35% Extra Fine Merino.  It’s  non-super wash and is very snuggly.

  • Yarny update

We are busily preparing for our first markets for the year and enjoying the fast drying time that comes with Summer in the central west of New South Whales.  The sunsets have been magnificent recently and we can't wait to turn some of these beautiful inspiration images into yarn. Bookings for the Sunburst Blanket workshop at River Yarn are starting to book out.  We've got a handful of places left and have started to dye the yarn.  If you've been thinking about booking in don't delay! One of the new colours we've added this month is Coral Reef speckle.  It's a softly speckled yarn that's perfect for coordinating with coastal blues and bright pinks and purples.  Scattered with colour it will coordinate with just about anything! You might have noticed we have a new logo.  Elisha has been busy updating our website and various other bits and pieces with our new look!
